Teaching Kindergarten, unpacking was the bane of my exhistence. Every day the students had to get everything they needed for the day out of their little backpacks and into their lockers. This was seldom accomplished without pausing to intensely contemplate a pencil or inform me that, just like the past twenty-three days, they had brought raisons for snack. How could I end this interminable purgatory? With data of course!
Data collected from 5/22-11/5.
Over the year I made various attempts to hurry them along. Unfortunately the things that seemed to work best required a lot of work on my end, and even then were unreliable. On a personal level however, recording the data made that part of the day less aggravating.
